Words that describe...

Here are some words written by people trying to describe what Carol and I are doing now.

Twenty years form now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did.
So throw off the bowlines.
Sail away form the safe harbor.
Catch the trade winds in your sails
EXPLORE, DREAM.
DISCOVER.

Mark Twain

MAN CANNOT DISCOVER
NEW OCEANS UNLESS HE HAS
THE COURAGE TO LOSE SIGHT
OF THE SHORE

"A sailor is weeping below." said the Goddess Athena. "That boldest Odyssesus is sitting on a rock grieving."
"Oh! Oh! so he is. But why is Odyssesus weeping?" asked the nymph Helena.
"For a boat."
"But do heroes weep? Does not the lovely Calypso offer him her favors and the life
of a God?"
"Odyssesus doesn't want to be a God. His beard is wet with tears because he wants
a small boat."

Homer

"There lies the port; the vessel puffs her sail;
...Come my friends,
'Tis not to late to seek a newer world.
....Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven,
that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, AND NOT TO YIELD"

Alfred, Lord Tennyson

"Carol, have you seen the keys to the dingy motor lock?"

Steve Stuart
