GENERATORS NEED NOURISHMENT TOO

We are once again in Alamitos Bay Marina and have found Marcos. Marcos is one of those wizards that knows what to do with mechanical equipment, ie.generator. Being a liberal arts major with vast gaps in my liberal arts education I am always in awe of these folks. He immedaitely found a wire that was supposed to be attached but wasn't which is why it wasn't starting. The last guy that worked on it put on a new fuel pump but failed to put a new CORRECT connection. That and the other things that need replacing (new primary filter, other corroded connections, etc) will be fixed today. With all of this the generator will not be "starving for fuel" Marcos' words. We did do a test run to check even before the new filter and was able to run the water maker AND an eletric heater. This is huge!!

Next decision is when to leave here. It is raining and supposed to remain so and we don't really want to sail in the rain. Maybe Sunday or Monday.

In the mean time we are getting groceries, our bottom cleaned, parts pumped, more wine, and supplies for Jim, a new friend who is babysitting our dingy at Two Harbors.

We continue to enjoy even with all the futzin, and fixin.
